The seated figure has long black hair, a white forehead mark with a red bindi, rudraksha beads and bangles, and sits on a leopard-print cushion over a gold throne. Garlands of white, orange and purple flowers frame the arch, with green leaves above. The priest on the right, with a shaved-looking head, wears orange robes and white body markings, and holds a silver bell in one hand while gesturing with a small silver vessel. A red curtain and an ornate dark panel form the background. The figure is a murti or statue, not a living person, and no identification is made from the figure's face.2018-05-27A temple worship scene at night: a man with long swept-back dark hair, wearing a reddish-brown dhoti with a pink and white flower garland around his neck and gold bangles, reaches up to adorn a silver-faced deity murti with white and yellow flowers. The murti is dressed in orange and gold silk, heavily jewelled, and wears a silver crown, surrounded by dense red, white, purple and yellow flower garlands. Behind him stand a bald man in a gold-chain-adorned orange cloth and a young shaven-headed attendant in orange robes with a white forehead marking. A brass plate with offerings is at the lower left, and orange and red cloth hangs in the background.2013-04-21June 19 20142014-06-19 +2 copiesDecember 14 20162016-12-14A photograph inside a temple shrine. Two younger attendants in orange-saffron cloth stand at left, one holding a bowl. Behind them, golden deity murtis in ornate jewelled crowns and garments are garlanded with marigolds and roses. A decorated tray of flowers and brass lamps sits at the bottom. The scene suggests a puja or abhishekam. a person: the priest in the center wears a rust-red turban, long swept-back hair and ornate gold arm bands, consistent with the page's reference to a person event.2016-12-14A photograph of a temple shrine decorated with multicolored flower garlands in red, yellow, white and purple.
