Outdoors beneath a large banyan tree with many hanging aerial roots, a person in an orange saffron garment stands on a concrete platform holding a lit oil lamp flame in a metal lamp and a small silver bell in the other hand. The person wears a long white and red flower garland, a gold necklace, and gold bangles, and has a white tilak mark on the forehead with long dark hair. A yellow and red marigold garland hangs around the trunk at right, and a small blue sign is visible near the base. Swamiji (probable): the orange robes, long hair, ornate gold necklace and garlands are visible cues, and the page places Swamiji at this event, so the person is treated as a probable candidate performing a lamp puja.2011-12-11July 07 20092009-07-07December 26 20092009-12-26A photograph of a large old banyan tree with dense aerial roots and hanging prop roots, shown in an open dusty courtyard at dusk. On the left, a figure with long dark swept-back hair and a bare upper body, wearing an orange saffron wrap, holds a lit oil lamp or aarti flame in one hand and a brass vessel in the other, performing a ritual near the tree base. A garland of white flowers with red accents is draped over a protruding root or shrine on the right trunk. The setting suggests an outdoor tree puja with aarti. Swamiji appearance cues are present on the figure (long swept-back hair, saffron clothing), so the candidate is labelled probable.2006-12-23December 11 20112011-12-11A photograph at an outdoor sacred site beneath a large banyan tree with thick aerial roots and yellow and orange garlands tied around them. Beside her a man in white dhoti and white shirt with an orange shawl gestures over the water-like surface. Two people are visible in the scene, though others are partly cut off at the frame edges.2007-12-22A photograph of a large banyan tree with aerial roots hanging from wide spreading branches over a dusty clearing.
