August 27 20092009-08-27 +1 copiesA photograph of a ritual blessing in warm red-orange light. A woman in an orange-red sari with a beaded necklace and gold earrings holds her hands on the head of a man in a white kurta with a rudraksha mala and a name badge on his chest. He has his eyes closed and hands raised near his head. Behind them, another man in white watches, and a red curtain hangs at right. No a person candidate is clearly visible; the figures are a priestess-like giver and a devotee receiving blessing.2012-07-20July 25 20092009-07-25July 20 20122012-07-20August 22 20122012-08-22 +1 copiesJuly 01 20122012-07-01Photograph of a man with dark hair and a grey moustache in a white shirt and gold bracelet, eyes closed, being blessed with a hand placed on his forehead by a figure in a red sleeveless top and orange shawl with long dark hair tied back. Another man in white stands behind them, and a few people are partly visible at the edges. In the background a dim hall has white garments on a rack and a framed portrait, with a seated figure at lower left. The orange-shawled figure is a candidate for a person by appearance cues of long swept hair and orange clothing, but the face and build are not clear enough to confirm, so this is marked as probable and uncertain.2009-07-25A man in a white kurta with a rudraksha mala and a copper pendant raises his right palm while a woman in a red blouse and saffron shawl bows forward, and another person in orange presses a hand to the top of his head. Behind them, people in white crowd a balcony and railing, and a yellow and pink garland edges the frame on the right. Stage lights and a bright orange backdrop suggest a blessing moment at a gathering.2009-08-09September 03 20122012-09-03August 21 20122012-08-21 +1 copiesPhotograph of a close blessing moment indoors against a red curtain. A man in white ritual clothes with a rudraksha mala and a bangle has his eyes closed while a figure in a saffron-orange cloth draped over the shoulder, with an ornate necklace and small gold hoop earrings, presses a hand to his forehead. Another person stands behind, partly visible. Warm stage lighting and a second red drape frame the scene. The saffron-clad figure's face is turned away and identity is not established from appearance.2012-07-20A photograph of a seated teacher in saffron-orange cloth, bare-chested with a shawl draped over one shoulder, placing his palm on the forehead of a young man in a white t-shirt with an orange lanyard. The teacher wears a heavy gold bead necklace and gold hoop earring and has his hair tied in a bun. Behind them hangs a deep red cloth backdrop, with several people in orange and maroon garments seated and watching, and a man in white at the upper left. The scene appears to be a blessing or initiation moment in a satsang-style gathering.2012-08-21 +1 copies
