Wide view inside a large white tent at a Bhakti Spurana convention, with many seated devotees in white kurtas and dhotis facing a raised stage. Foreground men wear yellow shawls and rudraksha malas; brass plates, small brass vessels and covered plastic containers sit on striped mats in front of them. Behind the stage hang bright decorative banners, and a backdrop shows a deity murti. A small figure in orange robes sits on the far stage, not distinctly identifiable. Several people are seated in puja-like postures with hands folded or resting on the mats. Overhead, decorative cloth pillars and a banner reading the page title area complete the hall.2008-06-18June 18 20082008-06-18A large seated audience of men in white ritual clothes fills a white tented hall, sitting on mats in rows and listening attentively. Many wear white kurtas or shirts and rudraksha or bead malas, with lanyard badges on some. Colourful decorative hangings with elephant motifs hang from the ceiling. A banner reading Healer's Initiation Program hangs on the left wall beside a bookshelf. At the front, a figure in orange stands near the far end of the hall, and a video camera on a tripod records the session. The lower foreground shows a bottle of water.2008-06-22June 18 20082008-06-18June 22 20082008-06-22A photograph of an indoor Healer's Initiation Program session in a large hall with white walls and an orange-and-yellow patterned banner. At the right front, a figure in an orange robe sits on a raised white platform near a cross-shaped stand, and a few participants with long braided hair sit in the foreground.
