Outdoor procession at dusk with two rows of devotees facing each other along a sandy path. Dozens of people wear white ritual clothes: women on the left in white with rudraksha malas, and men on the right in white shirts and dhotis, some with garlands and ID badges. Several large umbrellas in red, orange and multicoloured stripes with tasselled fringes are held aloft, along with saffron flags on poles. Trees, low buildings and a hazy sky appear in the background. No individual can be identified as a person in this crowd view.2008-01-01Night procession photographed through a rain-speckled window or glass, with a dense crowd of devotees. A man in an orange garment stands at lower left, and a bespectacled young boy in white is at lower right.
