A framed photograph of a seated, garlanded man in orange robes is displayed on a white-draped altar behind the fire, which is built from stacked yellow-wrapped blocks decorated with pink flowers. Two women in white clothing kneel at the fire, one feeding it from a steel vessel while the other tends it. Seated devotees on the floor, including a man in a white shirt, a woman in a green-yellow saree with folded hands, and a young girl in teal, watch the ritual. Metal bowls hold rice, flowers and dried leaves, and brass oil lamps stand beside the altar.A photograph of a seated congregation in a plain hall with pale walls, a green chalkboard and a small red-and-gold draped table at right.
