The murti stands in a gilded arched shrine with a red backdrop, wearing an ornate golden crown, decorated garments and red flower garlands at its base. Beside the shrine, a tall decorated pillar with yellow flowers and red, green and blue panels rises, and a golden lion statue and brass vessel sit at the right edge. The scene suggests an aarti being performed at the shrine.2021-03-08August 19 20172017-08-19 +2 copiesA photograph of a shaven-chested priest in saffron-orange dhoti and orange turban performing worship before a richly dressed deity murti in a gilded shrine. The priest wears white sandalwood or vibhuti markings on his arms and chest and a rudraksha-style sacred cord, and gestures with his right hand over the image while holding a tray of flowers and a small cup near the bottom left. The murti is adorned with a tall gold crown, a red and gold patterned garment, a multi-strand gold necklace and garlands, with a high arch of embroidered red-and-gold fabric behind it. The shrine frame is ornate gold with red curtains, flanked by pillars decorated with yellow, blue and green floral and dove motifs. Incense sticks and a brass vessel sit at the right edge. The priest is a visible person; the murti is a statue. No identifiable a person cues are clearly present, so the figure is described by role only.2021-03-08December 30 20192019-12-30December 30 20192019-12-30July 25 20152015-07-25Photo 11728715 +2 copiesDecember 30 20192019-12-30April 30 20152015-04-30August 19 20172017-08-19
