The foreground man in the centre holds a grey stone slab in his cupped hands while another man pours or places something with a gold-tipped implement. Some men bear white sacred ash markings on arms and forehead, and a man at left presses his palms together. A gold-and-yellow ornamental backdrop and a fan are visible behind them.2017-03-18Several men in white dhoti with orange-and-gold shawls printed with Sanskrit text sit close together in a devotional gathering. The man on the left holds a grey stone slab across his arms while his head is bowed and eyes closed; a thin gold stylus is in his hand. Beside him a bearded man wearing rudraksha malas and a gold chain sits with eyes closed. On the far right a bald man with white tilak marks on his forehead and arms wears rudraksha beads and an orange shawl, eyes lowered. Behind them a white wall, a fan and a light-coloured cabinet are visible. Their posture suggests a ritual or meditative practice.2017-03-18March 18 20172017-03-18March 18 20172017-03-18September 04 20122012-09-04 +1 copiesPhoto 11738569Several men in white dhotis with gold borders and orange-saffron shawls sit cross-legged in rows, each holding a small grey stone or block in their hands.
