A man in a long-sleeved white shirt and grey trousers gestures while walking beside a man with greying hair and a beard wearing a pale peach-pink dhoti-style wrap, who holds his hands together in front of him. Behind them, devotees in white dhotis and saffron/orange shawls walk among colourful striped parasols, and a woman in a dark red sari with a saffron shawl stands at left. Several people wear white and orange garments in a procession-like gathering. The man in peach-pink has long swept-back hair and a grey beard but no clear crown, rudraksha or ornate ceremonial cues, so identity is uncertain.2007-08-09A procession walks along a dusty dirt road lined with palm trees and a thatched hut. Men in white kurtas and dhotis lead, carrying colourful fringed umbrellas in red, yellow and blue. In the centre a man in a plain white kurta and dhoti walks barefoot with a rudraksha mala, the central figure of the procession. Behind him, saffron-robed sannyasis wear orange garments and rudraksha malas, one carrying a trident staff. A woman in orange with a white flower garland walks among them. Other white-clad attendants carry a silver pot and a yellow shawl is draped over one man. Strong sunlight casts long shadows across the road.2008-12-25July 29 20072007-07-29A photograph of a festival procession moving along a dirt road lined with palm trees under a bright sky.
