The vehicle sits on a red-and-orange cloth beneath a tent with orange triangular pennants. Several people in white clothes walk through a sandy open area in the background, and palm trees surround the scene. A small ceremonial item lies on the cloth in front, and a seated figure in orange garments is partly visible behind the vehicle.2010-12-22A photograph of a gilded ceremonial ratha or chariot at a temple procession, decorated with long garlands of white, yellow, orange and purple flowers and hanging tassels in green, pink, blue and red. A golden dragon-headed prow curves over the cart, with brass bells dangling from the tassels. A multicoloured ceremonial umbrella stands at the right. Several people in white dhotis and shirts, some wearing saffron-toned clothing, stand near the cart under a corrugated roof. No person is identifiable as a person from the visible evidence.2011-12-15January 01 20122012-01-01Outdoor photo of a decorated procession vehicle. Golden ornamental finials and round gold discs crown the structure against a pale blue sky, with bamboo stalks at right. Only the top of one person's head is visible at the bottom edge.2010-12-20A golden ceremonial palanquin or ratha is decorated with garlands of white and yellow flowers, purple and orange marigold strings, and hanging tassels in red, orange, blue, green and purple. An orange umbrella with a leaf motif shades the vehicle, and an ornate golden makara-style head curves over the top. Two men stand at the right edge in white clothes with yellow shawls, and a figure in orange robes appears at the far left beside palm trees. The scene appears to be an outdoor procession setting.2010-02-12Outdoor photo of a tall copper-coloured ritual pole or dhvaja-like column, its base carved with figures and wrapped with white and red flower garlands and green leaves, rising toward the top of the frame. Beside it a man in a rust-orange dhoti with gold borders and a long red-and-white flower garland holds a rope and raises a large orange-and-teal umbrella against a blue sky and tall coconut palms. The scene suggests a ritual procession or temple rite; the man is the only visible person, with a few partially visible figures at the lower right edge.2014-08-20 +1 copiesA figure in saffron-orange robes with long dark hair, wearing a garland of pink and white flowers, stands at left holding a ceremonial lamp near a decorated shrine. Behind is a golden deity murti pair seated on a pedestal, adorned with large flower garlands in yellow, purple, red and white, a gold crown, and jewelled necklaces. A second person in orange stands beside him at the lower left. Floral arrangements and marigold garlands frame the shrine, and oil lamps and brass vessels sit on the floor. The figure's distinctive hair, saffron robes and garland fit the a person cues, so the candidate is in person and identified as probable.2009-12-24December 22 20102010-12-22March 01 20162016-03-01 +1 copies
