The left tray has seven bowls with yellow lemon-style rice, a golden-brown pulao, a green herb rice, a plain white rice, a mixed vegetable rice with carrot and green beans, and a small steel cup. The right tray has four bowls of golden, green and cream rice, several topped with red rose petals. No people are visible.2020-12-20A photograph from above of a polished stainless steel round thali tray holding a spread of rice dishes in small metal cups. Around the rim are several portions of rice in yellow, green and orange tones with visible vegetables, herbs and curry leaves, plus a mound of plain white rice and a portion of white rice with mustard seeds. A small metal cup of water sits in the centre. To the left, a separate ornate silver tray holds a metal bowl of yellow rice topped with pink rose petals, beside a brass cup. The wooden table surface is dark brown. No people are visible.2022-01-09A close-up photo of a silver thali plate resting on a green banana leaf. In a hammered silver bowl, a heap of boiled chickpeas is scattered with yellow and pink flower petals. Beside it, in a small steel bowl, fried vadas or fritters sit alongside a fried flat item. Loose petals lie on the plate and leaf. No people are visible.2022-02-28A photograph of a large polished silver thali tray holding about nine small stainless steel bowls of food arranged around the edge and centre. The bowls contain rice-based preparations in varied colours, including orange-brown, pale yellow, green and white, plus a dark brown sauce or chutney in one bowl and a small plain steel cup at the centre. The tray sits on a dark textured cloth. The image has a decorative border of red roses and pink flowers, a framing graphic typical of a daily update slide. No people are visible.2022-02-19Overhead photo of a round stainless steel thali tray holding ten small steel katoris of rice preparations arranged around a central bowl. The rice dishes vary in colour: yellow turmeric rice, orange carrot rice, plain white rice, green herb-flecked rice, and rice with cashews and raisins. Two red rose petals rest on the rim of a green rice bowl on the right. The tray sits on a dark wooden surface. No people are visible, and this appears to be a food offering rather than a ritual scene with identifiable participants.2020-12-24KAILASA LOS ANGELES, USA on 2/1/20222022-02-01KAILASA LOS ANGELES, USA on 2/16/20222022-02-16Two round stainless steel thalis photographed on a wooden table, each with a ring of small steel katoris holding rice dishes in varied colours: green herbed rice, orange carrot rice, yellow turmeric rice, white plain rice and mixed vegetable rice. A small steel bowl sits at the centre of each plate, and a few pink rose petals are scattered among the dishes. This appears to be a food offering arranged for a naivedyam, with no people visible.2020-12-29Overhead photo of two round stainless steel thali plates on a dark wooden table holding vegetarian rice preparations in small steel katoris. The left plate has three bowls of rice dishes, one garnished with a pink rose petal and another with yellow flower petals. The right plate has about six bowls of colourful rice preparations with green herbs, red pepper pieces, a yellow turmeric-tinted dish and a sweet white rice dish with a dollop of white topping. These appear to be naivedyam food offerings. No people are visible.2020-12-15Overhead photo of a rectangular stainless steel tray holding six small stainless steel bowls. Each bowl contains fried snack pieces: crisp golden-brown wafer-like fragments mixed with crumbly deep-fried dough balls flecked with green herbs. No people, deities or ritual objects are visible; the plain grey surface beneath the tray suggests an ordinary kitchen or dining setting.
