Each coconut is dressed in embellished fabric: the left in teal and red with pearl and gem beadwork, the centre in white with brown rudraksha-like beads and a gold pendant, the right in orange-rust cloth with blue and white beadwork and gold embroidery. Pointed crowns with jewelled red and green stones sit atop two of them. Ornate gilded metal scrollwork appears in the background. No people are visible.2014-08-15September 10 20152015-09-10 +1 copiesA row of brass kalasha pots wrapped in woven golden netting stands on a red-draped table covered with white rice grains. Each pot is topped with green mango leaves and a yellow-orange coconut or fruit, with yellow marigold garlands and loose petals scattered on banana leaves at their bases. A blue brick wall and dark curtain form the backdrop. No people are visible, and the arrangement suggests a puja or homa preparation setup.2008-10-27Photograph of several coconut kalashas arranged on a low platform draped in mustard-yellow cloth. Each coconut is topped with mango or betel leaves and wrapped in cloth: gold-brown, white with silver ornaments, blue with a green-and-white jewelled necklace, and green with a pearl-and-bead garland. Red roses are tucked among the coconuts, and brass vessels sit behind them. Blurred seated figures in white, turquoise and red clothing are visible at the top edge, with only hands and laps showing. The arrangement suggests puja offerings or a kalasha ritual.2014-01-19 +1 copiesMarch 02 20112011-03-02
