January 03 20162016-01-03A photograph on a stage decorated with flower garlands and golden lion sculptures. A man in an orange saffron robe with long swept-back hair and a tilak-marked face places a flower garland around the neck of a person bowing low in a gold shawl and ornate gold garment. Two men in maroon and gold dhotis with ceremonial bracelets and white tilak marks stand nearby; one wears a rudraksha-style necklace. Ornate gold and jewelled decorations frame the background. The orange-robed man in the centre has distinctive long hair and saffron clothing consistent with a person appearance, though this is uncertain from the image alone.2016-01-03January 03 20162016-01-03January 03 20162016-01-03A photograph at a night event under strings of colourful lights. In the foreground a smiling man with a shaved head and a red and gold garland of flowers and beads around his neck, wearing a pink and gold silk shawl, reaches toward an ornate gold throne-like seat draped with a large orange-gold silk cloth he is adjusting. A brass incense or kalasha-style vessel and a gold-tipped staff stand beside the seat, with smoke rising. Behind him, several women in white and cream saris and a man in white clothing stand near the stage, and more seated attendees in orange and saffron robes are visible at the right edge. The a person cues (ceremonial gold necklace, garland and shawl) are not sufficiently distinctive to confirm identity, so the central figure is described by role as a devotee adjusting the throne cloth.2016-12-23A photograph of a ceremonial moment inside a stone-walled hall. In the centre, an elderly man with white hair and white sandalwood marks on his forehead wears a tall gold crown, a white flower garland with red flowers, a gold chain and a saffron cloth, and stands before a bowing figure. That bowing figure wears a golden crown and a saffron-orange brocade shawl, and is leaning forward with the older man's hand near the shawl. Behind them stand several saffron-clad attendants with tilak marks and beaded necklaces, one in a gold-trimmed crown, and a gold ornate panel stands at the left. On the right, a man in white with folded hands watches, and a cameraman is partly visible at the edge.2012-04-29November 10 20132013-11-10April 27 20122012-04-27September 15 20152015-09-15 +1 copiesJanuary 03 20162016-01-03A photograph of a stage event with an ornate gold throne and a red-draped chair in the foreground. A figure with long dark hair, a yellow marigold garland, a leopard-print skirt over a rust-red garment and a tilak on the forehead holds up a long red-orange cloth draped over the shoulders of a bald man in pale peach robes and an orange shawl, who bows with palms pressed together. Behind them a banner shows ancient temple spires. On the right an older man in an orange robe and glasses stands with hands folded. A silver trident leans on the left. The figure presenting the cloth shows distinctive long hair, a garland and rust-red robes; this is an appearance-based candidate for a person, shown as a presenter of honour in an in-person setting, with the bowing man as a devotee receiving the cloth.2014-05-20A photograph on a stage set with an ornate gold throne carved with a cobra hood and lion-headed armrests, with a red cushioned seat and a painted deity figure behind it. A man in an orange dhoti and wrap stands at the left, smiling, holding a small red-rimmed bowl, with a white-marked forehead. On the right, a smiling man bare-chested with a brown-and-gold saffron wrap and a headset microphone spreads an orange cloth over the throne. A red curtain hangs at the far right and another partly visible person stands at the left edge.2013-11-10
