A photograph of a construction site where workers are finishing a freshly poured concrete surface. A worker in a teal shirt and dark trousers bends over the wet concrete with a tool, while a man in a dark shirt and shorts stands beside a metal bucket, and another worker in a dark top crouches at the left edge near a low concrete wall. A fourth person is partly visible at the right beside a concrete block. Behind them is sandy, bare ground scattered with cement blocks, building material and young palm trees, with a blue tarpaulin visible at the upper right.

Three workmen are plastering the base of a pale grey concrete block wall at an outdoor construction site on bare red-brown earth. The man in the centre, wearing a striped shirt and grey trousers, crouches low with a trowel at the wall's base. Another man in a peach shirt and grey trousers walks past, and a man in a white shirt and dark trousers holds a metal tray of mortar at right. A metal pan and sandbags lie on the ground, and a white building with blue doors and yellow flowering shrubs stands in the background.

A photograph of a whitewashed block building with a thatched roof and a woven palm-frond or bamboo panel set into the gable. Grey cement-block walls and wooden-framed windows face a dirt yard with shrubs and coiled black hoses. A single worker in white clothing crouches at the stone-edged base near a stone block wall, and two smaller figures stand at the far left and far right edges. No ritual, a person, or festival activity is visible; the scene shows a construction or ashram building site under a clear sky.

A photograph of a construction site at an outdoor compound. A flight of concrete steps made of grey blocks leads up toward a higher level, with unfinished grey concrete surface on the top steps. Two men in work clothes are bent over at the base of the steps, one in a light teal shirt and dark trousers, the other in a white shirt, apparently working on the stonework. A white wall with red and white horizontal stripes stands to the right beside a rough stone pillar. A corrugated metal roofed shed is on the left, with a blue plastic drum, scattered bricks and rubble, and a white plastic chair. A large leafy tree stands behind, under a clear blue sky.

A photograph of a deep, narrow trench dug into red-brown earth, with a freshly poured wet concrete floor running down its length. A man in a light beige short-sleeved shirt, dark shorts and a cap stands on the wet concrete near the middle, looking ahead. A wooden stick leans against the left trench wall, a red building and small shelter with red posts stand in the background, and green trees surround the site. No ritual, deity or a person is visible.

Outdoor construction scene beside a grey stone boundary wall with red brick coping and green shrubs and trees behind. Three labourers work on a concrete or mortar strip: a man in a white shirt and grey trousers holds a long-handled trowel, a man in a checked shirt, blue-and-white lungi and red headcloth stands watching, and a shirtless man in a lungi pours from a round metal pan along a rope-guided line. Dry earth lies in the foreground. A small white plaque or stone sits atop the wall.

A photograph of an outdoor construction site beside a large tree, showing a long rectangular trench lined with rough stone blocks and concrete, with fresh wet cement or sand filling the floor. Mounds of red-brown earth surround it. A man in a white shirt and checked lungi crouches at the right edge, working with a trowel. Another man in a white dhoti and shirt stands at the back, and a younger worker in shorts stands near the trench with a bowl, while a child in red watches. A red-and-white structure with scaffolding rises behind them. No ritual, discourse or a person candidate is visible.

Outdoor construction work in a deep trench cut through reddish-brown earth. Four workers are visible: a man in a white shirt and checked lungi standing at the back edge, a man in a white shirt and maroon lungi with an orange head cloth standing at the right, a worker in a teal shirt and maroon lungi bending over and mixing or pouring from a blue bucket onto a pile of stones, and a worker in a red-and-green striped wrap bending over the trench floor. Wooden poles and rubble lie in the trench, and a red building with a red curtain and palm trees stand in the background.

A photograph of an open drainage channel under construction on bare earth. Two workers are building a stone or brick retaining wall along the channel; one man in a white shirt and dark trousers stands on the edge with his hand on the wall, and a second worker in a pink top is bent over near the water at the far end. Loose grey stone slabs line the left side of the trench, and a pale plastered wall rises on the right behind a green wire fence with shrubs and trees beyond.
