October 25 20062006-10-25A photograph of a fire ritual in front of a seated figure in an ornate gold-framed niche. A large open flame rises from a brick homa pit lined with yellow and pink flowers, white petals, and a small silver vessel. Behind the fire, a figure wearing a white dhoti and yellow-bordered shawl sits on a gilded throne draped with a garland and an orange cloth, the figure's face and form partly obscured by the flames. The setting is a dim interior with cream walls and a teal panel. A small brass lamp stands to the right.2006-10-25A photograph of a fire ritual at night. A tall flame rises from a stepped pyramid of pale white blocks. Behind it stands an ornate golden shrine frame and a garland of white and orange flowers hangs at the left. A brass vessel with a curved spout sits in the foreground. No people are visible in the frame.2007-12-10A tall column of bright orange flame rises from a fire pit built of pale stacked bricks, decorated with scattered red and yellow marigold petals and flower heads. Thin dried stalks lie across the bricks. Behind the fire, a gold-coloured deity murti is draped in a red silk cloth and adorned with a long white and yellow flower garland. Another flower-decorated altar stands at the left edge. No people are visible in the frame; the scene reads as a homa or yagna fire ritual.2007-12-10May 15 20162016-05-15April 19 20182018-04-19 +1 copiesJanuary 30 20162016-01-30 +1 copiesApril 14 20182018-04-14 +1 copiesA brick-built homa fire pit on a tiled floor, with flames and smoke rising from kindling inside a square brick enclosure whose top is dusted with yellow and red powder. Nearby sits a brass plate with rice, a small metal vessel and a wooden bowl of offerings. At the top edge, the lower legs and white-clad knees of a seated person in a yellow-cream cloth are visible, with a bare foot at right, but no face or full figure is shown. Bundles of sticks lie at the right. The page describes a Nithya-Satsang Homa; the visible fire pit with offerings matches a homa, and the seated person's identity cannot be determined from the visible portion.2015-07-18July 03 20172017-07-03A homa fire burns inside a square fire pit built from yellow-ochre brick-like blocks decorated with white lines and red flower petals. Flames rise from wood and offerings, with a brass bowl of ghee, a brass ladle, a silver bowl of red flower petals and a bowl of wooden sticks nearby. A brass bell stands at the front edge. Partially visible people in white clothes sit around the pit, one with an orange cloth draped over the shoulder. No a person candidate is clearly visible.2006-02-27March 17 20192019-03-17
