A bearded elder in orange robes and a large white and red flower garland stands centre, holding a long wooden staff. Men on either side wear rudraksha malas and carry tall staffs topped with a trident and ornate finials. Two ceremonial yellow-and-red umbrellas with a decorative emblem hang above the procession. Several people behind wear orange and brown robes. The bearded central figure is a sannyasi in a procession; appearance alone does not establish identity.2013-11-05Outdoor procession at a stone-paved site with a brick wall and carved stone blocks. A bearded elder in saffron-orange robes, with long white hair and beard, walks down red-carpeted steps holding a long wooden staff; a bald man in rust-brown dhoti and rudraksha mala stands beside him, and another man in brown robes with a yellow border greets him barefoot on a woven mat. Behind them, a line of followers in rust-brown and saffron clothing carries a trident, a long staff and yellow-and-red ceremonial banners, and a man on the right holds a white decorated parasol. The white-clad figures stand back at the left.2013-11-05Outdoor photo at a shaded temple-grounds setting under large trees, with a black stone platform in the foreground. At centre stands an elderly bearded man with long white beard and bare feet, wearing a saffron-orange robe and holding a wooden staff with an ornate handle. Two bald young men flank him in rust-brown dhoti-style cloths with gold borders, one holding a silver bowl of red offerings, the other on the left with hands folded, with tripundra marks and rudraksha malas. Behind them stands a woman in white, and several figures in orange-brown robes stand among decorated orange and red ceremonial banners on poles. Red ceremonial cloth lies on the ground below. Robed devotees fill the background.2013-11-05November 05 20132013-11-05November 05 20132013-11-05 +1 copiesNovember 05 20132013-11-05Outdoor photo on a sandy path lined with green shrubs and trees under a clear blue sky. A long-bearded elderly man in a bright orange robe holds a tall wooden staff with a carved snake wrapped around it and gazes upward, while a man in an orange-gold dhoti and rudraksha mala gestures toward him. Around them stand shaved-headed men in saffron and rust-red cloths wearing rudraksha malas, some with hands folded in prayer, and several women in red and maroon saris in the background. A tall metal staff topped with a decorative canopy rises beside them, and a green-roofed structure, flowers and a yellow-and-red banner appear at the edges.2013-11-05
