At the centre, a large cutout or standee of a man with a saffron turban and red and white flower garland is carried aloft, wearing gold-toned ornaments and an orange garment; it is a printed image, not a physical person. Around it, a bearded man on the left holds a decorated container with pink offerings and wears a rudraksha mala, a drummer and devotees with folded hands and tilaka follow, and a person on the right plays a brass instrument. The scene is a ratha-style or street procession with flags and parasols.2018-12-31 +1 copiesDecember 31 20182018-12-31A procession inside a pavilion with gold-painted pillars and red-and-white roofing, carrying a garlanded, tall figure of a deity murti, a decorated wooden or metal image wearing a turban-style crown and white floral garland, borne on a raised platform. Central to the scene is a large printed portrait on a board, showing a man in a red turban, orange-red dhoti and sash, with a rudraksha-style mala and gold necklace, holding a staff; it is a printed picture, not a physical person. Bystanders in front, some with vibhuti marks, watch closely, and a lit pink temple-style structure with string lights stands behind. The page does not state a person was present, and the portrait's appearance is not a clear enough basis to identify anyone, so no identification is made.2016-05-09 +1 copiesA night-time procession on a paved path lined with trees and small string lights.
