A seated figure with long dreadlocked hair piled high and bound with a rudraksha mala crown wears an orange-saffron garment, a long rudraksha mala draped over the shoulder, and gold bangles. A white ash mark is on the forehead. The figure extends a hand to touch the head of a man bowed low in a white shirt and cream dhoti with gold border, who wears a rudraksha mala. Behind them, women in red and maroon clothing watch, and ornate gold-panelled doors with brass oil lamps stand in the background, with a golden kalasha on the left. The setting suggests a blessing or darshan moment.2016-01-16January 10 20162016-01-10A photograph inside a gold-decorated hall with ornate gilded lattice panels and a golden lamp stand. A figure with long dreadlocked hair wrapped in a rudraksha crown and rudraksha necklaces, draped in saffron-orange cloth, sits on a red-cushioned throne and extends a hand to a kneeling man in white with a rudraksha mala, who bows with palms joined. A standing woman in white with a gold-bordered sari and long rudraksha beads gestures with folded hands, and another woman in a cream-and-gold sari holds a tray of purple flowers behind them. Swamiji (probable) is the seated saffron-clad figure, identified by the rudraksha crown, long dreadlocks and saffron robe on the throne.2016-01-16February 13 20172017-02-13July 02 20172017-07-02 +1 copiesJuly 07 20172017-07-07April 30 20172017-04-30 +1 copiesApril 30 20172017-04-30 +1 copiesA photograph of a bare-chested man with long dreadlocked hair, a red-and-gold shawl draped over his shoulder, a gold chain necklace, and white vibhuti marks on his forehead, reaching to touch the head of a young boy in a white embroidered kurta. The boy raises his hands in front of his face, smiling. Golden deity murti figures and a gold trident stand in the foreground, and several white-clad devotees with rudraksha malas stand behind them. The man appears to be a person, based on the long dreadlocked hair, gold necklace and red-and-gold shawl; he is blessing the boy, and the scene suggests a ritual blessing.2017-08-08 +1 copiesJuly 09 20132013-07-09A saffron-robed man with long dark hair tied back and a gold-beaded necklace places his right hand on the shaved head of a young boy in a white shirt and red-and-black beaded necklace. The boy kneels with palms pressed together. Beside them, a woman in white with a dark beaded mala and orange-patterned shawl watches, and several girls in white with orange shawls stand behind. A golden deity murti and red draped cloth frame the scene, with a white fan at right. The saffron-robed man is a probable Swamiji by appearance cues: long swept-back hair, ornate gold beads and saffron clothing, placing his hand on the boy's head in a blessing.2015-07-19A seated bearded man with long dark hair, a white forehead mark and gold ornaments, wearing a rust-red shawl and rudraksha-style beaded necklaces, lays his hand on the head of a shirtless young boy in white dhoti and a sacred thread. Behind them a man in a white-striped cloth and beaded necklaces holds the boy's shoulder, and an ornate silver-backed red throne stands at right, with a stone deity shrine or temple niche behind. Gold arm bands and a large gold pendant are visible; the scene looks like a ritual initiation blessing, with the boy's hands pressed together and a small paper or card in his hand.2017-10-05
