Close photo of a black stone Shivling on a multi-tiered black yoni-peetha base during abhishekam. A person in white clothing, only arms and lap visible, pours or applies liquid with a small brass ladle. A small brass cobra hood stands beside the lingam on a brass stand. Gleaming brass vessels sit on either side of the peetha, and a small framed portrait of a bearded figure in a saffron-toned turban appears at lower left. A small statue of a seated figure in orange-brown robes sits at right, and a brass kalasha is visible in the background.2016-12-11 +1 copiesA close photograph of a ritual abhishekam being performed on a copper-toned sri yantra-style base placed on a wooden stand. A pair of hands in white sleeves, one wearing a gold wristwatch, pours milk or liquid from a stainless steel vessel over the tiered metal object. Behind it stands a large dark polished stone structure with carved lotus-petal bands, and orange and maroon cloth hangs in the background. Only the hands and forearms of the person are visible.2010-02-12September 19 20112011-09-19December 11 20162016-12-11 +1 copiesA man in white dhoti and shirt bends forward to pour water from a silver vessel over a black stone Shivalinga set on a dark stone yoni pedestal. A small brass kalasha-shaped vessel sits on a wooden stand in front. Behind the linga, a large golden deity murti is draped in orange cloth and garlanded with yellow and multicoloured flower garlands. At the left edge, a bearded older man in white robes wears a yellow shawl and a rudraksha mala, standing at the edge of the frame; he is not clearly distinguishable as the a person, so identity is unsure. Orange cloth and gold carved pillars frame the scene, and a small deity figure with a garland appears at the right edge. The setting suggests abhishekam at a temple shrine.2010-02-12September 19 20112011-09-19November 06 20142014-11-06December 12 20162016-12-12September 19 20112011-09-19A photograph of an abhishekam being performed on a dark stone Shivalinga. A priest's bare arm, wearing a gold bangle and beaded bracelet, pours water or milk from a silver vessel over the lingam, and droplets spray upward. Behind it, a white-clad figure stands near a gilded pillar and a gold-draped structure. At right, the golden feet and lower legs of a large gilded deity murti rest on a lotus base, with a red-and-gold cloth draped over it. Warm light falls on a red curtain and a wooden table in the background.2011-09-19December 11 20162016-12-11 +1 copiesClose-up photo of a black stone Shivalingam being bathed in a stream of water poured from a long golden vessel held by a person whose arm and white clothing are partly visible at the left edge. A small clear crystal lingam sits on a gold stand in front of the black lingam, and scattered yellow flower petals and red flower petals lie on the dark base and wet surface. Only hands and white garments are visible, so no full person is shown.2016-12-12
