A photograph of a gilded shrine with a dark polished black stone Shivalingam on a yellow cloth base, a silver-toned pot with a spout beside it, and a small red-backed niche behind holding a metal deity murti. Marigold and multicolored flower garlands hang along the ornate golden frame, and a white cloth drapes above. No people are visible; the scene is a temple-style shrine display.2006-10-22Interior of a temple shrine centred on a white Shivalinga rising from a grey lotus-shaped peetha with a gold base and a gold-and-red-gem crown above. Rudraksha malas and marigold and tuberose garlands with red, white and green strands drape the linga and the flanking deity figures. To the left stands a gilded statue of a saint with hands joined and an orange turban, holding a small drum. To the right a gilded female deity figure wears layered gold jewellery, a pink garland and a green-and-pink sari. A small framed picture on a silver pedestal shows a figure in saffron robes. Brass vessels, a conch-shaped vessel and incense sticks sit in front. No people are visible.2007-11-20December 20 20172017-12-20October 16 20102010-10-16 +1 copiesJanuary 30 20162016-01-30October 16 20102010-10-16 +1 copiesMarch 03 20112011-03-03October 11 20102010-10-11November 09 20072007-11-09A photograph inside a temple shrine. A standing figure in an orange-saffron garment with long dark swept-back hair and a dark rudraksha mala holds a lit oil lamp, with a brass vessel on the floor, before a deity murti. Two gold-adorned murtis sit in the shrine, one wearing a crown and the other with a tall decorated headdress, both draped in garlands of yellow, red and green flowers. A black lingam on a black yoni-peetha stands in front, decorated with yellow flowers. Orange and gold curtains and a patterned ceremonial banner frame the shrine, and a small brass figure appears at the bottom edge. The figure appears to be performing aarti or puja.2009-03-29September 26 20092009-09-26A seated man in saffron-orange robes sits cross-legged at the side of a temple sanctum, hands folded in his lap and eyes lowered. He wears long swept-back hair, a rudraksha mala of dark beads, and a gold chain. Beside him stands a black Shivalinga on a black stone yoni pedestal, and behind it a deity murti is adorned with yellow and red marigold garlands, gold jewelry and a red-and-gold garment. A brass kalasha with a coconut and mango leaves sits on the floor in front, and a colourful painted banner with dove motifs hangs in the background. The scene suggests a pranapratishta consecration at a Hindu temple.2009-03-29
