A photograph of a floor arrangement of brass oil lamps in an indoor room with a concrete floor. Several tall brass lamp stands with tiered, pagoda-like tops and round bowl-shaped drip plates are set out in rows, with small clay lamps placed between them. A carved gold-painted wooden throne with lion-like carved legs and a maroon cushion stands at the left. A metal shelving unit with a gold-bordered cloth sits in the background, and white fabric hangs at the right edge. At the lower right, only a partially visible person in orange garments and a dark-haired head is seen, sitting beside a brass bowl. No faces of a person are visible in the frame.

A photograph of a set of seven brass arati lamps and a tiered brass lamp arranged in a row on a white cloth-draped table in an empty hall with a grey concrete floor and cream cabinets behind. Each arati lamp has an ornate circular frame with a stand and small bell-shaped base, with different embossed motifs on each, including a deity figure and a peacock. The tallest item at right is a multi-tier brass lamp with many cup-shaped wick holders. No people are visible.

A photograph inside a hall where a row of brass oil lamps (deepas), brass kalashas and small brass lamp stands are laid out on a long mat along the floor. A man in white dhoti with a yellow-edged shawl bends forward at the left, tending the lamps, while several boys in white shirts and white dhotis or grey trousers sit cross-legged beside the brass items. Behind them, rows of seated people in yellow, pink and white clothing fill the room, with a red-cushioned seat at the back and a rack of framed pictures and hanging decorations on the wall. A person in an orange robe stands at the right edge. The setting suggests a ritual preparation with lamps, possibly for a festival-day puja.

A cluttered storeroom or temple back room holding ritual objects rather than people. Tall brass oil lamp stands with multiple tiers are arranged on the floor. Two large decorated drums with striped and embroidered covers and red trim sit at right. A white and multicoloured fabric canopy or ceremonial cloth with red tassels hangs at left, and a brass vessel stands near the front. Colourful painted deity figures with crowns are displayed on a shelf at upper right. A cardboard box holds dried red flower petals or offerings, and a blue plastic bag lies nearby. Striped cushions rest on the floor.
