May 29 20062006-05-29A man with long, swept-back dark hair and a red-orange tilak on his forehead walks along a concrete courtyard wearing a sleeveless saffron-orange cloth wrap over an orange lower garment and dark sandals, one hand resting on his chest. Behind him are iron gates, a white wall, a parked white bus, a black dog sitting by the gate, pink bougainvillea and wooded hills with utility wires. The appearance-based cues (long hair, saffron ornate clothing) match the Swamiji candidate, so this is a probable Swamiji on the Himalaya Yatra walking in a mountain town.2006-05-29May 29 20062006-05-29May 29 20062006-05-29A photograph taken from behind of a figure in an orange-red long-sleeved top and matching orange wrap with thin gold-coloured borders, walking away along a paved mountain road. The figure has long, wavy black hair falling past the shoulders and wears dark sandals. Green shrubs line the left edge, and a small concrete building with a green-trimmed balcony stands behind. In the background a blue truck and a few men in light and dark clothing stand near the roadside. The road curves to the right under a tree-covered hillside.2008-07-06June 22 20072007-06-22July 06 20082008-07-06A photograph of a long-haired man in a flowing orange saffron garment, bare-shouldered and bare-backed, walking in profile on a concrete path beside white railings and green shrubbery. He holds a tall brass staff topped with an ornate trident-like finial in his right hand. The saffron cloth wraps the body loosely and the hair falls to the shoulders. Appearance-based probable candidate: a person, shown walking as a sannyasi with a trident staff, with long swept-back hair and saffron clothing as the qualifying cues. Mild grassy steps and a planter with yellow base appear at the edge.2006-05-22A barefoot man in a flowing saffron-orange garment walks down a whitewashed step beside a red metal gate with ornate scrollwork. He has long dark hair swept back, a red tilak on his forehead and a shawl draped across one shoulder, leaving the other arm bare. Green foliage and a tree fill the background behind the wall. The appearance matches the Swamiji (probable) cues of long swept-back hair, saffron clothing and a tilak, but the image shows no name or caption on the figure itself.2009-12-05January 22 20082008-01-22July 06 20082008-07-06A man with long, swept-back dark hair walks across a dusty open ground holding a long wooden staff in his right hand. He wears a draped saffron-orange cloth wrapped over one shoulder, leaving the other arm bare, with a red tilak mark on his forehead. Behind him are parked motorbikes, a pale building with a window, and a heap of grey gravel. The person appears to be a sannyasi in orange robes; the page indicates a person is present, and the saffron clothing, long hair and staff are consistent with a candidate, though the face is not used for identification.2006-10-10
