Night procession on a narrow dirt path lined with a brick wall, lit by a bright floodlight at the top left. Dozens of devotees in white clothes with red or orange shawls walk closely behind a decorated palanquin/ratha carrying a lit deity murti, its top draped in marigold garlands and bright fabric. A large striped canopy on a long pole shades part of the crowd, and a brass parasol-like ceremonial umbrella is held forward on the right. Several participants raise their hands in greeting, and young and older men, some barefoot, make up the crowd. Trees and bamboo line the right side in darkness.2013-05-27A night procession moves along a dark dirt path, lit by flashes and a glowing ornate chariot at the top. A brightly lit ratha carrying a deity murti with a red-and-gold pointed roof and a blue canopy leads the crowd. Hundreds of devotees in white dhotis and white kurtas or saris, many wearing red or orange shawls and rudraksha-style beads, walk closely packed around it. A white and pink umbrella is held aloft at the left edge, and a cluster of dark trees lines the right. The scene is a chariot procession. Many people are visible, including those partly cut off at the frame edges.2013-05-27May 27 20132013-05-27May 27 20132013-05-27November 20 20102010-11-20Night procession on a paved road with a large crowd of devotees walking behind a brightly illuminated palanquin or ratha topped by a fabric canopy umbrella.
