The man on the left wears a white and blue checked shirt and sandals and bends over the steel with his hands. The man on the right wears a striped collared shirt, dark jeans and a gold bracelet, and works the wire with his fingers. A worker in a white shirt and grey trousers, leaning forward with a shovel, scoops soil from a trench. A second man in a blue plaid shirt, grey trousers and a white head cloth stands watching beside him. Rusted rebar rods rise from the foundation, trees and a yellow excavator sit in the background, and a hose lies across the ground. Neither man is clearly identifiable as a person.2006-12-12Two young men work on a concrete wall at a building site in dry, open land with small white posts and a tree in the background. The older worker wears a white button-up shirt and grey trousers and holds a shallow tray of wet mortar while smoothing it onto the top of the wall with his gloved hand. The younger worker in a blue t-shirt and grey shorts stands beside him watching, with a bare midsection and a thin necklace. Wooden planks lean at the right edge. No ritual, deity, or a person appears in the scene.2010-01-26A photograph of two men working at the edge of a green water tank with a whitewashed concrete ledge and exposed rusted rebar. The man on the left crouches on the ledge in a beige shirt and grey trousers, looking down at the water with his hands near the edge. The man on the right, in a tan shirt, crouches low at the water's edge. Red brick and dusty ground frame the scene, with a pair of sunglasses lying on the concrete.2009-12-17Close-up photograph of a construction site showing a grid of rusted steel reinforcement bars, rebar, tied together with thin wire at the joints. Several thicker rods run diagonally across the frame over a flat grey concrete or metal surface with light patches of plaster or dust. No people are visible.2009-10-15Two men work outdoors on bare sandy ground beside a grey stone slab. The man on the left, in a checked green-and-white shirt and tan trousers, swings a long-handled hammer downward. The man on the right, in a light blue striped shirt, grey trousers and flip-flops, sits on a stone block holding a steel chisel or bar against the slab. Scattered metal rods lie on the ground, and dry shrubs and a blue tarpaulin appear in the background. The scene shows stone-cutting or metalwork at a construction site.2006-12-12
