A photograph of a seated initiation moment indoors at a venue with flowers. A long-haired man in orange robes, with a red tilak on his forehead, smiles as he touches the forehead of an elderly bearded man with long white hair who wears an orange garment and a red bead mala. Behind them are a pink cloth, a brass vessel, and bouquets of purple and white flowers. In the background a person in a floral dress holds a mala, and a partially visible man in khaki trousers stands at left. The scene appears to be a healers initiation program at a Vancouver event. a person cues: long swept-back dark hair and orange clothing on the younger robed figure, who is giving the blessing; the identification is uncertain.2006-04-24March 06 20062006-03-06January 06 20142014-01-06A photograph of two men in saffron-orange robes seated face to face in a hall, with a floral arrangement of orange lilies, pink and white blooms beside them. The man on the left has long black hair and sits on a gold-patterned cushioned chair with a black and red border, smiling and gesturing with his hands. The bearded man on the right has long white hair and a white beard, wears a rust-orange top and a beaded mala, and reaches out with his hands toward the seated man. A stand and cables are visible behind them, and a person in white is partly visible at the right edge. Probable Swamiji (appearance cues: long swept-back black hair and saffron robes) is seated in the chair on the left.2006-03-06January 05 20142014-01-05A seated man with long dark hair in a low knot wears a gold-and-red garment and a layered gold bead necklace with rudraksha-style beads. He sits on a red cushioned seat beside an ornate gold throne and places both hands on the forehead of an elderly white-bearded man with long white hair, who wears an orange robe and bows forward. The setting is an indoor hall with a plain wall, a curtain and a small lectern-like stand. Two people are visible: the seated figure with raised hands and the bowing elder. Appearance-based cues on the seated man include the long swept-back hair, gold ceremonial necklace and gold-and-saffron clothing, so he is labelled Swamiji (probable) and marked in_person.2014-01-11Indoor photo at a Vancouver healers initiation program. A woman with long dark hair in an orange-saffron top and shawl places her hand on the head of a man with grey hair wearing a light blue striped shirt and a rudraksha mala. Behind them a pink-draped table holds flowers and a small object, with a dark framed picture on the wall and another person in white clothing at left. The woman's long hair, saffron clothing and ornate presentation give a person cue, but she is a candidate only; the image is partly cropped and her face is not clearly visible, so identity is uncertain.2006-04-24March 06 20062006-03-06A seated man with long swept-back black hair, wearing an ornate gold-and-cream brocade kurta, leans forward to touch the forehead of an older man in a grey checked sweater and dark collar. The younger man sits on a cream cushioned sofa with red fabric beside him and a red-and-white quilted cushion. Behind them, a woman in a white top and orange shawl stands near a green potted plant and a red curtain, with another person partly visible at left. The scene looks like a blessing moment during a seated gathering in an indoor hall.2006-03-17Photograph of a smiling man in an orange sleeveless robe and orange shawl, with a long rudraksha mala and a red tilak on his forehead, placing his right hand on the head of an older bald man with long grey hair who wears a light blue kurta and a rudraksha mala and bows with his palms open. Behind them is a garlanded altar with marigold and yellow flower garlands, red fabric and gold-coloured decorations. The orange-robed man has long swept-back hair and rudraksha malas, matching the page's description, so he is a probable Swamiji (probable) giving blessing to a devotee in what appears to be a darshan moment.2011-12-01March 27 20062006-03-27December 17 20062006-12-17
