Marigold garlands hang at upper right, a brass bell and lamp stand at lower left, and gilded deity figures and a golden shrine backdrop fill the background. Two bare-armed people are partially visible, with no faces shown.

A priest in a white dhoti and white shawl with white sacred markings on his arms and chest pours yellow liquid from a copper vessel over a Shiva lingam draped in a dark red cloth on a brass tray. Red rose petals scatter the tray and the orange-draped altar table beside it. A copper bowl of petals and vessels sit on the altar, with garlands and pink flowers behind.
