A green-tinted temple pond at a Kerala shrine complex, with a stone-walled embankment on the left topped by a long corrugated-roof shed. Stone steps on the right descend from a terracotta-tiled pavilion to the water, where a few small figures in light clothing stand near the bottom step. Red-tiled roofs, palm trees and lush foliage frame the scene, and reflections of the buildings and palms ripple across the still water. Numerous people in saffron and orange robes stand and sit along the tiered red steps, many near rows of red flags on poles. Several people in white and pink clothing walk along the stone steps at the water's edge, and a woman in an orange robe stands on the lower stairs. Grey stone deity sculptures line the upper terrace on the right, and a small brass vessel sits on the step at the bottom right.
