Around a brick fire pit, a group of bare-chested priests in white dhotis wear gold beaded necklaces and red or purple cloth. One pours ghee into a flame from a metal bowl, others hold ladles and sit before trays of flowers, sweets and offerings, with marigold garlands and brass vessels. Partially visible devotees sit at the edges and a cameraman with a tripod films the scene.2018-04-14May 25 20172017-05-25A photograph of an outdoor homa or fire ritual with a flame rising from a metal fire vessel on a purple cloth-covered table. A figure with long dark hair decorated with pink flowers, bare white-marked shoulders, gold bangles and an orange garment sits in the foreground, passing a ladle or spoon over a silver tray heaped with white grains and offerings. Behind them, rows of seated devotees wear orange, red and white robes and shawls. A cameraman in white clothing films the scene at right. Offerings in silver bowls and small oil lamps sit on the table.2014-12-17
