Several have white sacred ash marks on their foreheads, and one wears a rudraksha mala. Brass plates, kalasha-style vessels and small offering bowls sit on low tables before them, with lamps lit along a central aisle and a wooden stand holding an open book at left. Background devotees in white clothing are partly visible. The setting suggests an aarti or puja. No clearly identifiable a person figure is visible.2014-04-13April 10 20132013-04-10A group of young boys and young men in saffron-orange dhotis and shawls sit cross-legged on low white wooden platforms on a polished marble floor, performing puja. Many have white vibhuti or tilak marks on their foreheads and arms, and several wear rudraksha malas. Each platform holds brass plates, a small oil lamp, flowers, and offering bowls. Behind them, seated devotees in orange and white watch and join in, and red chairs line the hall under a gold-framed mirror.2013-05-03April 18 20132013-04-18A photograph of a ritual scene with many young monks and sannyasi-style men seated on the floor in saffron-orange robes, many wearing rudraksha malas and white vertical forehead markings. Several hold brass oil lamps with lit flames raised toward the upper area, while others hold small brass bells and cups. Brass offering plates, flowers, a yellow cloth-covered box and small bowls sit on low silver-coloured tables in front of them. The mood is a group puja or aarti with lamps being offered, and a few people in white clothes stand behind in the background.2013-04-12April 12 20132013-04-12A photograph of a group of young ascetic-trainee boys and young men seated cross-legged on a white marble floor in a hall, performing a ritual with small oil lamps (diyas) held in their hands and set on brass trays. Most wear saffron-orange cloth, several have maroon shawls, rudraksha mala necklaces, and white forehead markings. Brass plates, a kalasha-like vessel, and offering items sit before them; a yellow box and red-covered books lie at the lower left. Behind them red chairs are stacked and a few adults stand in the background.2013-05-02April 13 20142014-04-13
