Photograph of a ritual fire pit built from stacked orange-yellow bricks on a white-covered floor, filled with a dark ash-covered mound, white cloth, and offerings. Behind it stands a small altar with a white cloth draped over a platform, holding a red-and-gold garlanded cloth shape and a blue-robed deity murti with a crown and floral garlands, plus a larger white figure with garlands at the top. Brass pots with yellow flowers and leaves flank the altar, and brass bells, a brass plate, a small cup and a tiger-print cloth lie on the floor. A purple backdrop completes the scene. No people are visible.

A photograph of an empty ritual fire pit, a square brick and stone-built homa kunda covered in white-washed blocks, with a dark brick-lined central opening holding charred wood. Two brass oil lamps with ring-shaped flame holders flank the front of the structure. Leaves are placed on the blocks. To the right, on a striped mat and a wooden tray, are small clay vessels, brass and steel bowls, a ladle, a covered vessel, red and white powders, dried wood sticks and a folded cloth. Pieces of dried wood are scattered behind. No people are visible in the scene.

Behind them stand three deity murtis under decorated umbrellas, garlanded with flowers. To the right, a long table holds many baskets of coconuts, flowers and offerings wrapped in woven cane. Brass oil lamps stand on the floor, and smoke hangs in the air.

A square homa fire pit built from orange-brown bricks dusted with white powder sits on a white floor. Inside the pit, smoke rises from a heap of ash-coloured offerings and flower petals. Around it are brass kalasha pots with yellow flowers and mango leaves, a brass plate with coconut and fruit, small brass vessels, and a striped mat. Two small deity murtis in red and blue garments and garlands stand on a white pedestal behind the fire. No people are visible.
