August 17 20062006-08-17A photograph on a rural road lined with trees. A long-haired figure in a white dress with a yellow border bends over a yellow-and-black auto-rickshaw, its passenger seated inside in striped shirt and olive trousers, while a man in a striped shirt and grey trousers stands beside it. Behind them, a man in an orange cloth walks carrying an orange bag, and a motorcyclist in a brown shirt rides past. A bird-shaped purple logo appears at upper left. The long-haired figure has long swept hair and white clothing with a yellow border, but this appearance-based identification is uncertain, so the figure is described by role only.2006-08-17August 17 20062006-08-17A photograph of a rural road lined with trees, where several people in orange and white monastic clothing walk and stand beside a yellow-and-black auto-rickshaw with a Kannada name board and registration KA 01. A woman in an orange sari with a flowing orange bag stands near the rickshaw's open side, while another woman in white and orange carries an orange cloth bag. Orange flags on bamboo poles are carried by people further along the road, and a motorcyclist passes in the background.2006-08-17A photo of a white three-wheeled auto-rickshaw on a narrow street. A figure in orange-saffron robes and a red-orange wrap sits in the rear passenger compartment, with a flower garland around the neck, a rudraksha-style mala and a metal staff or trident-like rod in the hand. A man in a dark leather jacket and khaki trousers sits in the driver's seat. A blue-grey metal shutter and a small signboard are behind the vehicle. The auto has blue side stripes and a grey canvas canopy.2006-01-06A road scene on a tree-lined lane. A yellow and black auto-rickshaw with registration KA 01 6742 stands at the roadside, its driver visible in the front seat. Several people walk beside it: a woman in an orange sari carrying an orange cloth bag, a woman in a white sari with a yellow border holding an orange bag, and a woman in a white dhoti-style sari with an orange bag and a long bamboo staff. Others in white and orange clothing walk further back, and orange flags on poles are visible along the road. Puddles and roadside vegetation surround the scene.2006-08-17A young man in a light beige button-up shirt and dark trousers and sandals stands smiling beside a yellow-and-black auto rickshaw, gesturing toward its open driver compartment with its dashboard and engine exposed. Behind him on a dirt-and-gravel ground, several men in white shirts and khaki trousers stand and walk near a red-brick building with trees and palms beyond. The vehicle plate reads KA05 with a partly legible number. No swami or deity figure is visible, and the scene appears to be a casual outdoor campus moment.2007-08-31A photograph of a white and blue auto-rickshaw parked in a narrow street, its canopy open. A smiling person in an orange-saffron garment with a flower garland peers out from the rear passenger cover. A man in a black leather jacket and cream trousers sits at the driver's side, and a man in a maroon patterned jacket stands in front of the vehicle with his back to the camera. Another man in a grey sweater stands at the right edge. Weathered walls and a small yellow sign in the background.2006-01-06January 07 20062006-01-07August 31 20072007-08-31January 06 20062006-01-06A busy street scene in an Indian town with heavy traffic. Yellow three-wheeled auto-rickshaws with canopies fill the foreground, one bearing the sign Elumalaiyan Thunai. A maroon city bus with passengers at its windows is on the left, and a white van sits behind it. Motorcycles, bicycles and pedestrians crowd the road under tall shade trees, with multistorey buildings and signboards along the roadside. Two women in saris and a man in a checked shirt are visible in the foreground.2006-10-20
