A timestamp and label read 'Naivedhyam Offering' in the lower right. The person appears to be a sannyasi or devotee preparing a naivedhyam offering; no clear identification is possible from appearance.June 15 20092009-06-15April 12 20122012-04-12June 15 20092009-06-15November 06 20082008-11-06A figure in a pink-orange shawl wrapped over the shoulders and torso, wearing a dark rudraksha-style bead mala, stands in thick white smoke or mist. The head is bowed, a light band of ash or vibhuti marks the forehead, and the hair is tied up. The left hand grips a long dark wooden pole or staff, and palm fronds blur in the background. The setting suggests an outdoor ritual such as a homa. Appearance cues include a swept-back hairstyle, rudraksha mala and saffron-toned shawl, which fit the a person label, but the face is obscured by smoke and the cues are not conclusive.2009-06-15
