A photograph of a richly decorated deity murti standing on an orange-draped base inside a gilded arched frame. The central figure wears a jewelled crown, orange garment with ornate gem-studded ornaments, and holds a long silver spear-like staff with a flag and a raised hand. Beside it stands a second, smaller female murti in an orange sari with pearl and gold beaded adornments and a jewelled headdress. A dense gold garland of rose-like flowers drapes across the base. Small brass oil lamps and a white ritual vessel sit at the front, with a pink cloth below. The statues are not people.2015-10-06KAILASA SAN JOSE, USA on 5/2/20202020-05-02July 02 20152015-07-02A richly adorned deity murti of Murugan (Skanda) stands centrally, holding a spear (vel) and a staff, dressed in gold and jewelled ornaments with a jewelled crown.
