December 14 20122012-12-14A photograph of a devotional altar set up for a paduka puja. A framed portrait labelled "PARAMAHAMSA NITHYANANDA" hangs at the centre, garlanded with red and orange flowers, showing a figure in orange robes and a beaded necklace seated in meditation. Two gold lion sculptures flank the altar, and a leopard-print cloth covers the seat. In front, a woman in a white dress with a red shawl kneels on a leopard-print mat, holding a small brass bowl beside trays of flower petals, brass bowls, and lit oil lamps. Another person's white-clad arm is visible at the right edge. Fresh pink, purple and white flowers stand on both sides.2012-12-14A photograph of a puja set up before a framed portrait labelled "PARAMAHAMSA NITHYANANDA" on a dark wooden stand, decorated with a red, orange and yellow flower garland. The portrait shows a man in orange robes and beads seated outdoors. Two gold lion figures flank the stand, which has a leopard-print cloth draped over it. In front, a woman in a white sari with red border kneels on a leopard-print mat, holding a small brass vessel, with brass plates of offerings, flower petals, incense sticks and a red-cloth tray. Flower arrangements in purple, pink and white stand at the sides, and a second person in white kneels at the right edge. The portrait is a printed picture, not a physical person.2012-12-14December 14 20122012-12-14A woman in white ritual clothes kneels barefoot on a red carpet before an ornate gold throne with red velvet cushions and golden lion figures. A framed printed portrait labelled "Paramahamsa Nithyananda" sits on the throne, showing a smiling man in orange turban and orange robes. A tall trident stands behind the throne against a blue, green and orange fan-shaped backdrop. Brass trays with flowers, a lit incense stick and offering bowls lie in front. The woman wears a white sari with embroidered border and a brown rudraksha mala, and she touches the gold throne with her hands. The setting suggests a devotional puja or satsang offering before the throne and portrait.2014-07-18July 18 20142014-07-18December 14 20122012-12-14A woman in a white sari with a red shawl kneels at a gilded throne (peetha) with a red velvet seat flanked by two golden lion figures. A large framed portrait labelled "PARAMAHAMSA NITHYANANDA" shows a smiling man in orange turban and orange robes with a red bindi, and a silver trident stands to the right of the frame against a blue, green and gold draped backdrop. On the throne ledge sit a silver tray with flowers and a small oil lamp, and a silver vessel. The woman's hands are at the base of the throne, making offerings or puja. The portrait is a printed image, not a physical person, so the count is one physical person.2014-07-18A photograph of a woman with long black hair kneeling on a patterned rug before a low wooden altar draped with a striped tiger-skin cloth. She wears a white garment with a red-orange sash and bangle, and pours liquid from a silver vessel into a silver tray holding flower petals and offerings. Nearby are a silver bowl, incense sticks, a small orange cloth with offerings, and a bouquet of purple orchids, pink and white flowers. A framed portrait labelled 'Paramahamsa Nithyananda' with a red-and-yellow garland hangs above.2012-12-14December 14 20122012-12-14Photo of a large hall during a satsang-style gathering. On a raised golden stage with a tiger-skin-patterned cushion, a golden framed portrait labelled "Paramahamsa Nithyananda" sits between two gilded lion sculptures, with a larger banner portrait above showing a smiling figure in orange and red turban. A woman in white sits before the dais with a small plate of flowers, and two people in orange-red robes sit at the left side reading. Foreground audience members in white clothing face the stage, seen from behind. A banner on the right shows a temple-like scene. A visible pattern of a Balinese-style painted image appears on the right banner, consistent with the Bali event.2013-12-10July 06 20132013-07-06
