May 18 20152015-05-18Photograph of a group of men and boys bathing in the river at Gaga Ghat, Varanasi, with many partly submerged in shallow brown water. Most are shirtless, some in dark swim trunks or briefs; one young boy in a green t-shirt and dark shorts sits in the water at right, and a boy at left smiles while wading. Behind them a long red steel bridge spans the river above a line of large black pontoon floats and a moored barge. No a person appearance is visible and no one can be identified in the scene.February 15 20132013-02-15February 07 20132013-02-07May 14 20142014-05-14May 18 20152015-05-18May 17 20152015-05-17 +1 copiesMay 17 20152015-05-17 +1 copiesFebruary 10 20132013-02-10A hazy morning view across a wide river toward a steel truss bridge with arched spans on concrete piers. Wooded riverbank and low buildings line the far shore, with sandy ghats and a few small boats moored near the water's edge. Choppy dark water fills the foreground under a pale sky. No people are clearly visible.2006-01-06Outdoor riverbank scene with a wide river in the background and a red steel railway bridge with concrete piers across the top. A group of people is in and at the edge of the shallow brown water, some bathing and wading, with a rope line stretched across the river. On the sandy shore, a man in a black shirt and black trousers stands barefoot with a red-orange scarf draped around his neck, and another man in a dark shirt stands near rolled purple and blue yoga mats, orange cloth bundles, plastic bags, white towels and scattered sandals. Several people in black clothing stand or wade nearby, and one bare-chested man in tan shorts is in the water. The scene suggests a group bathing ritual at a river ghat. No identifiable a person candidate is clearly distinguishable from appearance.2015-05-18February 10 20132013-02-10
