Brass plates with lamps and offerings sit in front of it. Behind, several seated men in white dhotis, some bare-chested, and a seated woman in an orange sari sit on steps lined with red flags and a mesh railing, with strings of small lights overhead. The men appear to be devotees or priests attending the Karthigai Deepam observance; a figure at left wears a red cloth draped over his lap. Dense foliage fills the upper right.2016-12-12
