A gilded ornate throne with a carved golden backrest and red velvet cushions stands behind them, beside a bouquet of purple orchids, pink carnations and white flowers. A man with long swept-back dark hair, wearing an orange robe with a maroon shawl, a gold necklace of large beads and a tilak on his forehead, sits on the throne and places his right hand on the head of a young man kneeling before him. The kneeling man wears a white and blue striped collared shirt. To the left, a shaved-headed man in an orange robe with a rudraksha mala stands with his hands clasped, watching. A small brass vessel and offerings rest on a table nearby.
