Three men stand at the scene: one bald man in an orange-and-gold wrap pours from a brass vessel, a young man with long curly hair wears a dark rudraksha mala, orange-and-gold cloth and bangles and holds a small brass pot, and a bald man in white dhoti and a rust-orange rudraksha mala stands at the right, pouring from a smaller pot. The statue is in a temple setting with a purple and gold draped altar, marigold garlands in yellow and purple, a white and red-bordered cloth, and orange-robed figures in the background. The scene looks like an abhishekam ritual being performed. The statue is a statue, not a person, so the only physical person is the priest.2010-12-19 +1 copiesA shaved-headed priest in a rust-red dhoti and shawl, bare-backed, wearing a rudraksha mala with glasses, pours liquid from a golden kalasha onto a golden statue. The setting is an outdoor stepped area with grey metal railings, staircases and seated onlookers in the blurred background. The statue has a gold-toned body in a yellow cloth, and water spills in streams down its face and chest. Behind them a second priest in white ritual dress with red-striped cloth stands at left. A brass bell, offering plates, flowers and a stone platform sit in front, with a red wall and a dark stone carved pillar behind.
