Night procession at an outdoor ashram courtyard. A man in white ritual dhoti and shawl, bare-chested and with a white head covering, holds a lit aarti lamp toward a central figure in a saffron-orange robe and red shawl, who stands with palms together. Behind them a multicoloured fringed umbrella on a pole is raised. Devotees in white, yellow, pink and blue saris and white kurtas press their palms together on both sides, while orange flags wave in the background and a red-roofed building lies beyond. Bright floodlight from the left lights the scene.

Night-time temple ritual outdoors in front of a stone shrine with carved pillars and a golden lamp at right. A young priest in white dhoti with yellow border and a white shawl holds a multi-flame camphor aarti lamp on a silver plate, smoke rising. Beside him stands an older man in orange-saffron dhoti and shawl wearing a beaded necklace, and behind is a woman in red sari. Fruit platters, bowls and banana leaves lie on the ground, and a seated devotee in white is partly visible at lower centre. Aarti in progress.

Night outdoor aarti at an ashram. Several devotees in saffron and rust-red robes with gold borders stand in a row, raising lit oil lamps (aarti lamps) overhead toward a deity murti on a red-draped altar framed by an ornate gold arch. The leftmost man wears an orange turban and rings a hand bell, and another holds a plate of offerings. A woman in a red sari with gold border and a rudraksha mala holds a lamp at the right. Other people in white and red clothes sit behind, and a cameraman with a tripod films at the right edge. Potted plants line the floor, and incense smoke rises from the altar.

Night procession at a festival with strings of coloured lights in the background. Devotees crowd the street. In the centre, a woman in a rust-orange sari holds a brass plate with a lit oil lamp toward the front, her face lit by the flame, while another woman beside her also raises a hand near the plate. Several women wear rudraksha malas and white-and-gold sari borders. A man with a shaved head and white forehead markings looks up at the left. A woman in white with a gold border stands in the lower left with hands raised in reverence. Long red and white ceremonial poles rise above the crowd. Visible people number roughly 20 to 25, and no one in the image is identifiable as a person.
