A photograph of a single man standing in front of dark maroon drapes with gold stripes and a patterned wall hanging at left. He has long, dark, swept-back hair, a small red bindi, and wears a sparkling dark embellished tunic with a black shawl draped over one shoulder. A heavy gold necklace with pendant hangs on his chest, and he holds his hands together at the waist while smiling. The setting appears to be a stage or hall with curtains. Appearance cues include long hair, ornate clothing and gold ornaments, but the image alone does not establish identity, so the candidate is marked uncertain.2006-12-28A photograph of a man standing on a stage in front of deep red drapery with gold trim. He has long, swept-back dark hair and a small red bindi on his forehead. He wears an embroidered, sequined grey-silver kurta with a heavy gold necklace and a black shawl draped over one shoulder and arm, and he smiles while gesturing with one hand. A metal lighting truss and a yellow and orange patterned banner are visible behind him at left. Appearance-based label: a person, standing on stage in an embellished kurta with a gold necklace and long hair. The page associates this event with the 2006 Jayanti Brahmotsavam celebrations, the Krama Brahmacharyam deeksha and darshan.2006-12-28December 28 20062006-12-28A smiling man with long dark hair, white tripundra and red bindi sits on a red tiger-striped velvet throne backed by gold carved panels. He wears a red saffron-style garment draped over one shoulder with a patterned border and a long necklace of gold and pink beads. A red bindi marks his forehead. Cues such as long hair, ornate red attire and beaded necklace align with the page's reference to a person, a candidate for the speaker at this event, so this is an appearance-based label: a person, giving a blessing on stage.2010-10-17A seated person with long dark hair, a red bindi and a saffron-orange wrap, wearing layered gold necklaces and a red rudraksha mala, gestures with one raised hand while holding a small microphone near the mouth during a talk.
