It is draped in a deep red and gold cloth and wrapped with a broad gold band at its base. Large layered garlands of rudraksha beads and marigolds in yellow and orange, with red flowers, encircle the lingam. Gold ornaments and a jewelled gold sheath cover its upper part, with a white three-striped tripundra marking on the front. Brass cups and a brass vessel stand in front on an orange cloth, with a purple and gold drape behind. This is a deity murti, not a person.2022-06-05 +1 copiesPhotograph of a Shiva Lingam alankaram in a temple shrine.
