Each pot is wrapped in striped multicoloured cloth with jewelled silver-and-stone ornaments, and mango leaves rise from their mouths, tied with yellow straw and topped with yellow cloth. No people are visible in the frame.2021-06-20A photograph of a temple ritual in a gold-ornate shrine. In the foreground, a deity murti is heavily decorated with garlands of yellow marigold and white jasmine, with red and green leaves and red flower strands. Small brass elephant figures and a brass lamp stand on a red cloth-covered platform. On the right, a hand holds a silver aarti plate with a lit flame, while a brass oil lamp burns beside the altar. Gilded columns and carved lattice panels frame the scene. No physical people are visible beyond the hand.2021-05-27October 10 20132013-10-10Close-up photo of two decorated kalasha pots for ritual worship. Each brass-rimmed pot is wrapped in woven multicoloured bamboo lattice in red, green, white and yellow, topped with a tuft of straw and a coconut-shell cap. Both are garlanded with yellow marigolds and red roses, with green mango leaves tucked in. Halved coconuts sit in the foreground and fresh leaves and flowers appear at the right edge. No people are visible.2018-04-14December 09 20182018-12-09June 20 20212021-06-20November 10 20112011-11-10 +1 copiesA decorated kalasha on a red silk-draped platform: a brass pot wrapped in a red cloth, topped with a coconut and green mango leaves, encircled by a garland of red roses and yellow marigolds. A jewelled ornament with gold coins hangs around the pot, and a gold-coloured carved structure stands in the background beside a silver pillar. No people are visible; the kalasha is a ritual vessel arranged for a ceremony.2015-10-18October 13 20132013-10-13Two decorated ritual pots, or kalasha-style vessels, sit side by side on a table as a puja offering. Each is wrapped in yellow marigold garlands with red and pink striped sticks rising from the tops, and topped with mango leaves, grass and orange coconut-like tops marked with red dots. The left vessel wears a white silk cloth and pearl and gold jewellery, while the right wears a maroon and gold silk cloth with a gold necklace. Silver oil lamps, a silver dish of mixed fruit including green grapes, bananas and mangoes, and silver bowls surround them. Devotees are faintly visible in the dim background, and a lit oil lamp burns at the left edge. This appears to be an abhishekam or puja arrangement.2017-08-02 +1 copies
