A large group of devotees, mostly women in white and cream saris and kurtas, sit cross-legged in rows during a puja in a hall with red walls. Many hold small brass lamps or incense sticks and perform the ritual with focused expressions. Brass plates, oil lamps and small bowls sit on a cloth in the foreground. Some wear rudraksha malas and gold jewelry; one woman in a pink-bordered sari sits at right, and a woman in a green jacket holds an offering at center-right. No single person is identifiable as a person in this crowd.

A photograph of a group of devotees seated on red floor mats during a ritual, many holding small lit oil lamps. In the foreground, a woman with grey hair and a white forehead mark wears an orange sari with yellow border and a rudraksha mala, holding a brass plate with flowers and a lamp toward the viewer. Beside her, a woman in an orange sari with a rudraksha mala sits with a plate of offerings. Behind them, women and men in white clothes, some with red shawls, and a girl in a maroon top hold lamps, with a fire-like flame and brass vessels on the mats. No single figure is clearly identifiable as a person from appearance, so the scene reads as a devotional puja with lamp offerings.
