He holds a brass five-branched oil lamp on a flat tray in his right hand, with a lit flame and faint smoke rising. Light ash-coloured markings appear on his shoulder and chest.2017-02-02 +1 copiesA bare-chested man in profile holds up a brass five-flame aarti lamp with a lit wick against a pale, hazy sky at dusk. He wears an orange cloth wrap, a red-and-gold beaded necklace, a sandalwood or vibhuti mark on his forehead, and a bracelet on his wrist. Smoke drifts from the flames. No a person candidate is visible, only a priest performing aarti.2017-02-02 +1 copiesA photograph of a person in saffron-orange clothing seen from behind, holding up a silver five-flame oil lamp (aarti) with burning flames and smoke rising. The lamp has a curved handle and multiple tiers, with a burning flame rising from the top. Behind it hang red curtains and a yellow-and-patterned cloth, with a white wall and red pillar visible. The figure is in shadow, showing only a sleeved white arm and a wrist band, so no face is visible. The background shows a doorway opening onto blurred greenery.2010-02-10February 02 20172017-02-02 +1 copiesA photograph of a brass multi-branched oil lamp held in a person's hand against a dark background. Five flames burn on the lamp's arms, with wisps of smoke rising above. The hand wears a thin bracelet at the wrist. A bright blurred light appears at the top of the frame. No faces are visible, and no clearly identifiable person is shown, so a person is unsure. Only the hand and lamp are visible, and the lamp is an oil lamp rather than a fire pit.2016-12-07Close photo of an evening aarti at a river ghat. In the foreground a hand raises a silver aarti lamp with a long handle and bell-shaped base, its multi-tiered flame burning brightly. Behind it, blurred devotees raise their own lamps; one person in the background has a white tilak on the forehead and dark hair. Several other glowing lamp flames are visible in the soft background, and a pale wall or tent fabric fills the backdrop.2016-05-02Close-up photo in darkness of a hand holding a brass aarti lamp with several flames rising from a wick tray, smoke drifting across the frame. The hand wears rings and a bangle; the arm is draped in a light garment. Only the hand and arm are visible; no face or full figure appears.2016-12-15October 21 20152015-10-21 +1 copiesJuly 20 20172017-07-20
