Photograph of an evening outdoor procession at a Kumbh Mela event. A central man in a rust-orange turban and rust-orange robe, wearing a heavy gold necklace, a rudraksha mala and a gold pendant, stands with palms pressed together in greeting. Around him, a bald man in a rust robe and rudraksha mala looks on, and devotees in white kurtas and orange shawls raise their hands. Large orange ceremonial umbrellas with fringed edges and a gilded temple-style canopy appear in the background under evening lights.2016-04-24Crowded outdoor procession under orange and white tent canopy at a Kumbh Mela-style gathering. Centre, a smiling man wears a rust-red turban, orange-red robe, long rudraksha mala draped over one shoulder and a beaded bracelet on his upper arm. Beside him, a bald man in orange with gold-chained rudraksha necklace and gold-rimmed glasses stands, and another man in orange wears a gold and dark bead necklace and a wristwatch while holding a small object. A young girl in a patterned dress stands at right, and a bearded sadhu in saffron robe with rudraksha beads appears behind. Several devotees in orange and white surround them. Visible people number roughly six to twenty.2016-04-22May 05 20162016-05-05Evening procession at a crowded outdoor religious event under string lights and a dusk sky. In the centre, a man in a rust-orange turban and rust-orange robe with a thick rudraksha mala and ceremonial gold necklace stands with palms pressed together in namaste; he matches the Swamiji (probable) appearance cues of a turban, saffron-toned clothing and rudraksha malas. Beside him on the left, a shaven-headed man in bifocal glasses wears rudraksha beads and a saffron cloth. Left edge shows a man in white with a gold necklace. Right side, men in white kurtas and a man in pink wrap hold their hands together in devotion. Behind them, an orange-clad man and crowd, orange and yellow umbrellas, a golden temple shikhara and a red flag.2016-04-24February 12 20132013-02-12November 16 20152015-11-16A photograph of a festive procession or ritual gathering at night under a decorated tent ceiling with red and green patterns. In the centre, a person in an orange-saffron turban and orange robes with a long gold-and-bead necklace and a white and red flower garland stands with palms pressed together in greeting and a broad smile. Beside them on the left, a bearded man in an orange turban and orange robes with a rudraksha mala stands in profile. On the right, a shaved-headed man in orange robes wears a large gold bead necklace and a pendant, and an elderly person with light hair smiles at the edge. A tall silver-coloured ceremonial staff with a decorative finial rises behind the centre figure, and others in the crowd are visible in the background.2013-02-12A crowd procession scene with a central man in an orange turban and orange shawl, long dark hair, and a long rudraksha mala, smiling with palms pressed together in namaste. Behind him, people in white and orange clothing press close, and a man in a maroon shirt with an orange shawl and a vertical orange tilak stands at left. Colourful tassels hang overhead, and a camera is raised at lower right. Swamiji (probable): the central figure shows long swept-back hair, an orange turban, orange ceremonial clothing and a rudraksha mala, consistent with a sannyasi receiving devotees during a procession.2011-05-24February 12 20132013-02-12A photograph of a festive crowd of saffron-robed sadhus at a Kumbh Mela camp. In the centre, a smiling man wears an orange-red turban with a small red tilak on his forehead, a rudraksha-style beaded mala and a gold chain, and a saffron shawl; he presses his palms together in greeting. Left, an older bearded man with white beard, glasses and orange tilak also presses palms in namaste. Right foreground, a bald man with rudraksha malas accepts an offering or hand gesture. Behind them, cameras and more orange-clad devotees fill a red-draped tent. The central figure shows distinctive ceremonial adornments and a turban, so this is a person candidate, though the appearance is uncertain from this angle.2016-05-05November 18 20152015-11-18A smiling man in the centre wears an orange-and-yellow turban with a red bindi and tilak, a large marigold garland with white flower strands, gold chains, and a brown-orange robe. Around him, saints in orange robes and orange caps stand close, some holding silver ceremonial staffs, with orange and patterned festival flags behind. A camera with a large lens and a microphone appear at the lower right, and a person in a white shirt stands at the left edge. The setting suggests a crowded procession or ceremonial gathering. Swamiji (probable): the central figure wears the turban, flower garland and layered gold necklaces with the saffron-toned robe, a presentation consistent with the page's reference to Swamiji.2013-02-12
