On the right, a man in saffron-orange clothing stands wearing a long red-and-white flower garland and several beaded necklaces, pulling on ropes that run up beside the pole. A tall copper dhwaja staff with ringed bands and a bristled top rises from a copper-clad base decorated with a garland of yellow marigolds. A man in red-orange ceremonial dhoti and shawl, with a red rudraksha-style mala and a gold pendant, stands with both arms raised, gripping a rope that runs up toward the flagstaff. Beside him a man in white clothing and a bald-headed devotee in the foreground watch the hoisting, and several onlookers crowd the lower edge.2013-12-18Photo from below of a tall copper flagpole topped with a small finial, its shaft wrapped in twisted copper bands and decorated at the base with yellow and orange marigold garlands and a carved panel. A man with long dark hair and a dark beard, wearing a marigold garland with orange and red flowers, a rudraksha-style necklace and a dark robe, pulls a rope that guides the pole. Another person in dark clothing and an orange cloth stands at the right edge. A palm tree and foliage fill the background, and a tiny logo sits at the lower left. Two people are visible in the scene; the visible man's appearance is consistent with the page's a person reference only partially, so the identity is unsure.2016-10-03Low-angle outdoor photo of a tall copper flagstaff or dhvaja stambha with rope-bound rings, a small deity figure and garland at its top, and red and white flower garlands draped on its base. A bare-chested man in a reddish-orange cloth and a rudraksha-style bead necklace stands at the right, raising both arms to pull the ropes. Coconut palms and a clear pale sky frame the scene.2013-11-22December 18 20132013-12-18Outdoor dhwajarohanam at dusk: a priest in an orange-red dhoti and sash, with a rudraksha-style mala, stands on a raised stone platform pulling two ropes that raise a tall copper-toned flagstaff topped with a dark feathery bunch. The copper shrine-like base is garlanded with yellow marigolds, and a second man in white holds a garlanded orange flag and tray beside him. Coconut palms and tall trees frame a clear sky, while a crowd of devotees in orange and white watches, and a man in white photographs the rite.2013-12-18Looking upward at a tall, slender copper-toned flagstaff ringed with twisted bands, wrapped at its base with yellow and maroon flower garlands and set on a carved pedestal showing a tree relief.
