November 09 20112011-11-09Night outdoor satsang on a stage under a multicoloured fringed canopy with red, white, yellow, blue and green tassels. A figure with long dark hair wears a saffron-orange robe with a fringed shawl and a rudraksha mala, seated on an ornate gold-carved throne with a maroon cushion. Probable Swamiji (appearance cues: long swept-back hair, saffron robe, rudraksha mala, seated as honoured speaker). Beside him, a shaved-headed attendant in saffron robe and rudraksha beads stands at left, and a bare-chested man in white dhoti stands at the edge in the foreground. A brass tray with offerings sits at lower right. Behind the throne hangs a banner with a world map and Tamil text, with a sign reading Dhyanapeetham-related satsang. Floral and bead-like string decorations edge the canopy.2011-11-09November 09 20112011-11-09November 09 20112011-11-09November 09 20112011-11-09November 09 20112011-11-09A photograph of a decorated golden palanquin or ratha during a procession, draped with orange and marigold garlands and hanging tassels in red, pink, blue and purple, with a brass bell at the upper left. A man with long swept-back dark hair and a saffron/orange shawl over an orange dhoti sits on the throne, smiling and holding a rudraksha mala, with a tilak on his forehead; the appearance is consistent with a person on a palanquin during the Kumbha Mela procession, though the identity is uncertain. Beside him, a shaved-headed young man in an orange wrap and rudraksha malas bends forward and touches the seated man's bare foot in reverence.2013-02-10February 21 20172017-02-21February 21 20172017-02-21Night outdoor photo of a man in saffron-orange clothing seated on a black plastic chair on a raised pink stage. He wears a long swept-back hairstyle, a long gold bead necklace, and an orange shawl over his shoulder, with one leg crossed over the other and an orange sandal beside him. Behind him stand attendants in white dhotis with red borders, one holding a long wooden staff. A large colourful umbrella with orange, green and red panels and a small decorative fan-shaped banner hang above, with red string lights overhead. A carved orange seat stands at right. The page indicates a Karthikai Deepam satsang, though no lamps are clearly visible in frame.2010-11-21February 10 20132013-02-10November 09 20112011-11-09
