August 11 20092009-08-11A photograph of a ceremonial moment at an indoor event. A seated man in saffron-orange robes with long swept-back hair and a rudraksha mala sits on an ornate gold-and-red throne decorated with yellow and white flower garlands. Facing him, a man in white dhoti with an orange-bordered cloth and a sacred thread offers a woven tray or basket. Behind them stand several men in white and orange, one in a yellow shawl, and a backdrop shows a temple-style painted image and a large banyan tree. A probable Swamiji is the seated figure, identified by saffron robes, long swept-back hair and mala beads on a throne, and is in_person.2009-08-11Indoor ceremonial scene before a backdrop of a large banyan-type tree with spreading aerial roots and temple-tower motifs. A seated figure in orange robes and a red-orange shawl sits on a gilded throne decorated with yellow and pink flowers, bare-footed, receiving offerings. Beside him, a standing figure in orange robes holds a white cloth or paper, and a man in white dhoti with orange border and a woman in white sari with a bundle stand close by. Brass trays and flower garlands lie on a table, and a cameraman with a video camera is at the right edge. Several white-clad attendants stand behind.2009-08-11A seated figure in saffron-orange robes with long swept-back hair, wearing a rudraksha-style beaded mala and a gold ceremonial necklace, sits smiling on an ornate gold throne with red cushions in front of a painted banyan-tree backdrop. Two men in white kurtas stand at left and centre-right, one holding a clear box with red contents toward the seated figure. A man in a light shirt and dark trousers and a man in white with a mala stand to the right, and an orange-robed attendant stands at far left. The scene appears to be a formal devotional offering or honouring at a KAILASA event.2009-12-16July 07 20092009-07-07A seated man with long dark hair and an orange robe sits on an ornate gold-and-red throne, smiling and raising one hand in greeting. A man in a cream shirt leans in from the left, holding a small object toward a seated man in white clothes with an orange shawl. Standing behind the throne, a shaved-headed man in orange robes holds a tray with fruit and offerings, and two men in white shirts stand in the background against a dark blue curtain. Five people are visible in the scene.2010-09-05A photograph of a ceremonial offering at an outdoor temple setting with an ornate gold-and-red throne. On the right, a long-haired man in saffron-orange robes and a rudraksha mala sits smiling on a red throne with gold carvings, gesturing with his raised hand toward the people before him. Probable Swamiji: long swept-back dark hair, saffron clothing and rudraksha beads. In front of him, a bald man in a white robe and rudraksha mala holds a wooden tray of fruit, sweets, flowers and a stack of money. Beside him, a man in white dhoti and shawl with a gold necklace stands holding the tray. Behind them, another man in white with a gold necklace works near a grey stone shrine with red-and-gold grilles and greenery.2010-09-03A seated man with long dark hair, wearing an orange saffron dhoti and shawl, sits on a white-draped chair in front of a red curtain, receiving a steel plate of offerings from a standing devotee in orange robes and a shawl who wears a rudraksha mala and gold bangles. A man in a white dhoti stands at left wearing a rudraksha mala and a purple forehead band, and a seated man in white at lower left holds yellow offerings. The scene reads as a ritual offering, with no visible fire or deity murti.2012-01-02A photograph of a seated figure in saffron-orange robes with long swept-back dark hair and a rudraksha mala, smiling and gesturing. Before him a kneeling man in orange robes with folded hands faces him. Pink and purple flowers decorate the right edge against a plain grey floor.2010-07-27A seated figure in saffron-orange robes and a long beaded garland of coloured beads sits on an ornate gold throne with red velvet cushions, in front of a painted backdrop of a large tree. A man in a white shirt and white trousers bends forward with his hands cupped, receiving or offering something to the seated figure, who extends a hand toward him. Standing to the left is a person in orange robes and another in white with a yellow shawl; a woman in a white garment with a yellow shawl stands behind, near a table holding fruit and a water bottle. The ritual appearance suggests a devotee receiving blessings. Swamiji (probable): the seated figure has long swept-back hair, orange robes, a beaded mala and a gold throne, which are appearance cues for the page's Swamiji claim.2009-12-16July 11 20092009-07-11A photograph of a devotee in white clothes and a white shirt, with a rudraksha mala and a gold pendant, bending forward to offer a silver tray to a seated figure in an orange sleeveless top and orange-red shawl, with a dark mala.
