April 19 20082008-04-19A photograph of a tented outdoor gathering with a striped and geometric patterned canopy overhead. A long-haired man in a saffron-orange robe stands with his eyes closed and hands together, with a light wrap across his shoulders; he has distinctive long swept-back hair, so this is an appearance-based a person in person, though the cues are moderate. Around him, a woman in a peach and rust sari with a flower in her hair presses her palms together, a man in white with a rudraksha-style necklace stands with his hands joined, and another man in white with glasses and a pink garland smiles. A woman in an orange and pink sari with hands folded stands at the right edge, and a few more people in white clothing appear at the edges.2010-02-17August 03 20092009-08-03August 03 20092009-08-03A photograph of a welcome at an outdoor pavilion roofed with woven palm thatch and decorated with hanging green banana bunches. A young man in a saffron-orange robe with a long pink-and-yellow flower garland stands at centre, smiling, with long dark hair, appearing to be a sannyasi receiving the greeting. A man in a white shirt and black belt bows toward him from the left, and a man in white dhoti and shawl with a green-bordered cloth extends an open hand on the right. Several people in white clothes, including a woman holding a brass pot with leaves, stand around with palms pressed together in namaste. Women in white and a woman in a white sari with a gold border also join in the greeting. The atmosphere is one of devotional welcome at a house visit.2010-02-17Outdoor photo of a ceremonial procession on a dirt ground at a temple-style outdoor event. A central figure with long dark swept-back hair, a red-orange robe and a large garland of white and yellow flowers with green leaves is smiling and pressing palms together in greeting; the figure is shown with appearance cues consistent with a person, so treat identity as uncertain. Around him, devotees in white dhotis and shirts, some with orange and red shawls, stand and kneel; a man in an orange robe with a rudraksha-style mala at left extends an arm toward the group. A bald man in an orange shawl with white tilak marks stands behind. Bunting strings and a decorated canopy with red and white fabric rise in the background, with scaffolding and a banana plant nearby.2010-12-29July 27 20082008-07-27December 27 20082008-12-27Outdoor procession scene with a man in a saffron-orange robe and a long rudraksha mala walking forward with his palms together, hair swept back, while a crowd of devotees line both sides. Women in white and gold-bordered saris and men in white shirts and mundus press their hands together in greeting; some carry a small tray of offerings. Above them, ornate red, yellow and blue ceremonial umbrellas and gold-fringed canopies are held aloft, and a white van and parked cars sit in the background on open ground. The man's appearance (saffron robe, long hair, rudraksha mala) is consistent with the ashram's presentation, but the page does not state he is present, so identity is unsure.2009-01-21January 24 20092009-01-24December 27 20072007-12-27A photo of a ritual outdoors under a striped red, green and yellow canopy with scalloped valance. A man with long, swept-back dark hair wears a saffron/orange shawl over a red undershirt and smiles, receiving a brass kalasha-style pot decorated with green leaves, flowers and a red band, which a woman in a white sari with gold border offers with both hands. A second person in orange stands behind, and a woman in a maroon blouse and white sari, along with others, smile in the background. On the right, men in white shirts and dhotis press their palms together in anjali. A white-covered table holds additional offerings and small plates of flowers. The setting appears to be a courtyard with a pink building and palm trees behind. a person cues: long swept-back hair and saffron shawl, with the presentation of a kalasha in a ritual setting.2009-08-11
