Four women kneel on mats in cat-pose style stretches. Two wear black tops and black pants with orange cloths tied at the waist, one in a pink-purple top with a light patterned skirt watches as instructor, and a blonde woman in black leans in from the upper right. Orange cloth bundles and a water bottle lie on the ground. A small purple logo appears at upper left.2014-09-14October 03 20172017-10-03 +1 copiesSeptember 01 20142014-09-01October 23 20142014-10-23Outdoor courtyard at an ashram with pink-red multi-storey buildings behind, where many people practise Shivasthamba Yoga (mallakhamba) on a paved plaza. Several wooden poles stand upright, and blue padded mats are laid out. Women in saffron-orange robes gather around the poles and stand on the blue mats, while others in white, black and teal clothing exercise or stretch nearby on pink mats. A few people sit on mats in the background, and a man with a bare chest stands at left. Banners on the walls show figures in yoga poses.2017-10-03 +1 copiesAugust 21 20162016-08-21October 23 20142014-10-23Outdoor photo of a Shivasthamba Yoga (mallakhamba) demonstration on a paved stone courtyard. Three men in orange-saffron cloths wrapped around their waists, with rudraksha-style cords around their necks, perform pole-yoga postures beside wooden vertical poles. The central man leaps with arms raised and hands on his head, while the man on the left jumps with his arms out and the man on the right stands barefoot in orange. Behind them, several onlookers in dark and red clothes watch, stacked yoga mats lie on the ground, and a stage with speakers stands near palm trees.2017-10-03Outdoor photo of a large mallakhamba (Shivasthamba Yoga) session on a stone-paved courtyard. Many participants stand among tall vertical wooden poles; many wear saffron/orange clothing and orange shorts, while others wear black, red, blue and white. A man in a white shirt and white dhoti stands near the center of the scene, and a man in white dhoti holds a camera. Behind the poles, a red brick building and a green truck appear among palm trees and a stone wall. Crowds are dense with many people visible, but the image shows far more than a hundred people only if counted precisely, so the group is best described as a large gathering.2017-10-03 +1 copiesOctober 20 20142014-10-20
